This is probably true and I'd be so annoyed if the "others" took over the south side. I just wanted a guaranteed job after my freshman year of college. That's the only reason I ever cared
It doesn't help they're preparing for the World Cup now and have to turn right around to prepare for the Olympics.. The two biggest world events back to back in 2 years.

But the thing is that them hosting 2 events back to back is actually helpful. Like, the stadiums they're building can now have more than one use. They're killing 2 birds with one stone but they can't seem to get it together

Are you joking? the gentrification would have driven out half of the criminals that are causing the current mess, and skyrocketed property values city wide, resulting in a net gain for almost every Chicagoan not to mention cementing Chicago's global city status
Bye the games would obviously not be hosted in the south side. Obama and Oprah would never let this happen.
