Even though people would think that what MTV's trying to do this year is a wrong move, many people would still watch it, and press coverage would still put this at the spotlight.
Any publicity, including MTV flop attempts, is good publicity.
Obviously no place wanted to let them host the awards there so they figured that it was a good idea to cool up a story that it would be cool to host the awards on city streets.
That is the least of their problems though. For all I care, they could host the awards in the sewer. All that really matters is that the show is good (which it won't be so what I just said really doesn't matter).
this year is the time that VMA should attract many viewers with great format and amazing performances.. if they couldn't do it, so goodbye to VMA int the next years..
