'We Are Born' is just as good as 'Some People Have Real Problems'. Her work with Greg Kurstin is amazing.
And if you even read the NYT article, you'd know the new album is still mostly vintage Sia:
"The new album, “1000 Forms of Fear,” undeniably reflects an older vintage of Sia, with sadder, brutal lyrics that are far too violent and introspective for Top 40 radio — a result, perhaps, of her own internal “secret ladies’ business.” But it also displays elements of Furler the pop-anthem writer, and many of the songs, like “Eye of the Needle,” are built on a simple metaphor."
