dont leave a religion because of a bad person. you need to leave a religion because its what you feel is right and because what you have studied on it does not satisfy you. don't look at how a human practices the word of God...look straight at the word of God and read the holy books. then make up your mind.

can you guys believe my mom's friend said that she would rather a kid stay in an orphanage then for them to be adopted by a gay/lesbian couple? I swear the fact that this world still harbors biggots like this kills me inside.
instead of giving these poor kids potential loving families, food, education , dignity and for some a family/last name some would rather they stay in those conditions. omg
Your mother's friend is quite a selfish woman if she would rather a child go without loving parents than be with a gay or lesbian couple. Although, it is her opinion and i'll respect that.

The catholic church should keep their fingers off little boys and girls before they go talking about "child abuse". They should be the absolute LAST ones saying ANYTHING.
The world is progressing for the better but that older generation can't seem to let go the stigmas and lies they've been told by their parents. Someday there will be no straight or gay families, just families I hope.
being brought up as a catholic and went to church regularly, the thing i hated the most was cathechism, we would have to go 2 hours every saturday to the priest and his helpers, they would teach us all these stories about the bible that were so contradictory and did not make any sense, yet for some reason we had to believe it. whenever i would say "but how can this be, it does not make sense", they would say "it's a dogma, you have to believe it"

Edit: not only in the US lmao... In most countries church has a lot of power even when the country is not considered considered catholic
I know not "only" in the US, it's just that all I hear about is people complaining that the government is going to take away their rights for things (ex. Gun control, ect) yet they try to deny others their own rights.
