If what you're saying is the case, then every Beyonce commercial (like L'Oreal & H&M) would be considered promo for the non-existent album.
|
The L'Oreal & H&M commercials didn't have any music from her album so that's why they weren't promo for Beyonce.
Promo just doesn't expire. Especially not a $50 million campaign that ran for well over ten months. The notion that it counts less because it was on for only ten months prior to the album's release doesn't make any sense since that would signify it had more time to reach more people.

Im sorry that you are mad about Britney Jean. Not everyone can release a successful self-titled
|
That would be like saying "Radar" isn't on Circus. Just because a track that's on every single version of the album has "BONUS" written next to it on the tracklist doesn't actually mean it's a "bonus track." And even then, bonus track promo still counts as promo (see: Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" promo which helped her album).
Britney is more successful than Beyonce even with a radio ban You don't want to go there
And nnnnggggg @ you discrediting the Super Bowl and a $50 million commercial campaign as not promo and then CLINGING for dear life to radio interviews and appearances. Could you be any more biased and transparent? At least TRY if you're going to lie to me, sis.

Nnnnn; at people mixing up CURRENT success with OVERALL success. Obviously Bey is currently more successful and has been for a while but Britney is clearly the bigger artist. There's no comparison here. I understand some of you might be too young to realize how HUGE Britney was in her peak, and not only in English speaking countries, but everywhere, and she remained extremely successful up until the BJ era. Lets not forget who has sold three times more albums, more records, has more WW #1 hits, and has made the bigger impact. And this is coming from someone who loves Bey.
Britney reshaped the landscape of pop music since her debut, she has sold millions of albums, singles, tickets, perfume bottles, magazine covers, dolls, books, DVDs, tapes, videos sold - the list could go on and on, unless you're Madonna, MJ, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and a few selected others chances are she has outsold you a million times over.
Also the people saying Bey because she's currently more successful, going by that "logic" she's also bigger than Madonna and pretty much every other pop star. Stop overrating her so much and quit being so biased because you don't like Britney.

How did her career only last a decade, though? She released ...Baby One More Time in 1998 and all of her shows in Vegas so far have sold out. Since 2008, she's had three number ones. Plus TTWE, IWG, and S&S were all big hits. She's not as popular as she used to be, but it's incredibly ignorant to act like her career is over and didn't last a decade.

How am I discrediting it when it is clearly not promo for the album...if you can produce any evidence for promo for a Beyonce release that dates before Dec. 13th 2013 then you will be correct.
Girl and once again Grown Woman is not on the album nor will it probably be released as a single. Once again we dont know why you are mad, but Britney Jean could use a few requests. How is the third single fairing?

I guess Bey's sales from last decade don't count anymore and she has yet to have a #1 single. The self-drag.

Beyonce.
Britney's first era was her peak
Beyonce is still respected, people still care about her, and pay attention to her music. She can still sell albums. She still knows how to sing and dance. She is allowed to do interviews that aren't pre-scripted and pre-screened by her team. She can make decisions for herself. Her career isn't over, so she'll obviously have much more longevity, where Britney has pretty much been a non-factor since 2007. Britney fans will stay clinging to album sales from over a decade though.

As for the $50 million commercial deal, well you can't even argue that when it has a track featured in it that's on EVERY edition of the album.
And who's trying to discredit Beyonce? I congratulated her for being the #2 female artist of her generation, which is impressive when you consider back in the day Avril Lavigne and Christina Aguilera were considered the major contenders for that spot. Just because I called someone out for lying doesn't mean I'm "discrediting" an artist. Heck, I even stanned for Beyonce almost a decade.
How is accomplishing less in a longer span of time "more impressive?"

This post tells me all I need to know, its painfully obvious you are delusional and living in the past, most likely the y2k. Which makes sense considering Britney's current status in the industry. Not to mention believing in fairy tales such as non-existent albums being promoted.lol Everyone knows Bey surpassed Britney a long time ago. I will give it to Britney, she is 3rd of their generation, behind Legend Pink and of course Bey is first because she is still relevant. The fact the Bey is r&b/pop and Britney is full on bubble gum pop and Bey still surpassed her speaks volumes. But anywho, have fun living in Y2k, hopefully you will join us in 2014 one day. Until then, toodles!!

The point is, none of those things were direct promo for BEYONCÉ because guess what...the album wasn't out...and wasn't close to being out. It's really cut and dry.

Maybe that she's still promoting? Britney has never had an album with more than four performances that has sold less than 8 million copies WW. Compared to the amount of promo Bey does, I wouldn't necessarily say she's negating Britney's successes.

Well, F.Y.E. let us know the original release date was November 19th. But still, promo is still promo even if there isn't a release date set yet. How can you even argue that people don't know an album is coming just because they don't have a set release date? Do you really think they can't tell a new album is coming even after hearing new music?
Can you post a version of Beyonce without "Grown Woman" on the album? I can put money on it that you can't. And who is mad? Just because you got called out for some lies doesn't mean everyone else is mad. Just admit you were wrong instead of trying with some basic ass shade.
