Alt Gr + 'e' is an easy solution indeed, but I have grown to use a single apostrophe before any vowel. It immediately puts an acute accent onto said vowel. (It also works for capitalized letters!) However, I am not sure if this trick goes for any computer, Mac or laptop.

Yes, I always use the alt code (alt + 0233) when I type Beyoncé.

When BEYONCÉ released, I also learned alt + 0201 for the capital É.
