Please... Bonnie is the one who brings more to the table in regards to writing. It just seems she is aiming to be the generic pop star most of the pop girls are... this song is a bop, but not a standout.

Who said she didn't bring more? All I said is that it proves that Katy clearly strongly influences the writing direction of the songs ATRL likes to credit solely to Bonnie. The songs Bonnie is prepping for her album are lyrically nothing like the songs Katy has released with a Bonnie co-write.

This has the potential to be the smash of 2014. It's catchy, it's relatable, it's not demeaning to women like some people found American Girl, and it's very, very radio friendly. I especially enjoyed the spoken dialogue during the bridge. I personally prefer her other two tracks probably, but perhaps the studio version will make me like it even more.

the thing about Bonnie being her own artist, is her songs sound a bit more 80s influenced and campy. Hot City, and now this. vintage guitars/retro synth sounds. still with that pop sensibility though. Can't wait to hear this studio version.

the song could definitely be on Animal… it also reminds me of Grease or even Sheryl Crow (the verses). SHe's not really going for that dance electro sound. even her performances are mainly kinda just rocking out. No Hold It Against Me. i like the song! it's a bop.

It's cute. Gives me a Jem & The Holograms 80s-bop vibe. It seems like a grower, I'll wait for a studio version to truly judge it, sounds like it has potential once it's all glossed up and fully produced.

The whole throwback girl-band vibe seems to be what she's going for as a solo-artist VS. the electro/pop material she writes for others.
