How is she going to get support from the west when South Asians don't even support her music? Indians (nationals and the diaspora in western countries) aren't exactly a major buyers of music, and as you said yourself, her "songs" aren't even good. Her songs only sold in India because she has a solid fan base to support her and a tiny minority of them buying it is enough to make it a hit. She needs to release a good song to see success abroad and so far "Erase" is her only one, but it's not even hers.

PC is not gonna to get support from the west if she doesn't put out good songs. they don't like asians and foreign people. it's up to asians to support her and then the label and producers will see her appeal and work harder for her and give her good music. if not, she should go to small producers and asian producers like naughty boy or rishi rich who want her to support her and make her smash.
honestly this song is her last chance. it better be good or she should pack her bags cuz it's ova for ha. ![@michael.](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/micheal_zps45ccf519.gif)

Exactly. Minorities have to work harder to be noticed and songs like "In My City" aren't going to cut it unless she's looking to be mocked. I tweeted British Asian producer Alan Sampson and he said he would have loved to work with Priyanka. Instead of working with popular producers like RedOne who's giving her cheap scraps, Interscope should have sent it to her people who really want to make music for her.

Let's keep it real here, she's only using this "music career" to try and secure Hollywood roles. She doesn't even care about performing her songs. I like her and her music, but I can't stan for this project with the way she is treating it.

I said exactly that in another thread, but I think it's more along the lines of her picking up an intriguing opportunity that was put in her lap, but not investing enough time and effort into it. Bollywood is her priority and this pop music "career" gets like 2-3 weeks attention. Becoming a pop star requires a lot of work, especially for someone in her position (non-American, non-western, non-Christian name, etc.)

I thought this time she would promote the single in India but no she's more interested to get #1 in the ****ing Abroad. If she did major promotions here by now she would be #1. But no how could she do with India the country who have her so much i hate her for this.

Are you stupid? Why would she promote heavily in India? Both "In My City" and "Exotic"
did go to #1 in on iTunes India and were successful by Indian market standards. No major promo was necessary because she's a big name there so she has a stanbase to support her even if the music isn't good. And of course, she's interested in success abroad. She's on an American music label and the US and UK are a major music markets unlike India. Besides, the whole point of this project was to create an international Indian pop star, not a local one.

Sorry but Indians listen to West songs and they don't have the stupid ideology like you guys at least and who the hell are you to decide her future she is good at making music at least better then few of your "WEST POPSTARS" . Better mind this next time make a comment on Indians.

Again, are you stupid? Of course Indians listen to western pop songs; people all around the world listen to western music because it appeals to everyone. Hindi movie songs do not appeal to anyone except some South Asians. It has nothing to do with any ideology. And those members are sharing their opinion on her music so I don't understand why you're getting so upset. The reality is that she is not making good music and they have every right to say so. Obviously they're interested in her and you should be thankful people are even discussing her here because the vast majority of people abroad have no idea who she is nor they do care.

She's probably not and it's a shame because she's likeable, but there are just too many hurdles here and not enough effort to jump over them.
