I don't really agree with most of the points in this presentation.

Gosh, racism is rampant these days! ![shake no](images/smilies/images/smilies/shakeno.gif)

Idk if you're trying to be clever and drag,
but what you've actually done is become a reference point for the topic at hand
and prove the PowerPoint to be accurate.

I mean if you look at the do's and don'ts, it's basically just saying white people have no voice in discussions about racism. I don't see how that's educating anyone.
To really spread awareness, I think everyone should be open to both asking and answering questions about race and discrimination. Of course, many may ask racially charged questions without wanting a real answer, but by providing one at least others can decide for themselves who is in the right and who is in the wrong.

Maybe you're a little bit right. Maybe. But where do we draw the line then?
This just popped up on my Tumblr EDUCATE YASELVES
Reverse racism isn’t real because we live in a culture that supports and enforces whiteness as the norm and PoC as other. If you experience discrimination, prejudice, or bigotry, it’s valid to be upset about it and want to talk about it. It is not valid to claim that it is reverse racism, and certainly not valid to claim that it is racism on par with anything like the institutionalized racism that PoC will come into contact with. When a white person starts talking about reverse racism, what they’re really doing is derailing a conversation to make it about them. Their white privilege leads them to believe that what they say both matters and needs to be heard and is important and the conversation should stop to focus on their perceived ills. You know what? When somebody is talking about racism they have experienced, that conversation is not all about you, nor should you expect it to be, so stop with the derailing and just listen and learn.
When white people complain about experiencing reverse racism, what they’re really complaining about is losing out on or being denied their already existing privileges. And while it may feel bad to realize your privilege is crumbling and the things you’ve taken for granted can be taken away from you, it is unfair, untrue, and disingenuous to call that experience reverse racism.

Blacks can be racist. Clearly racism against whites doesn't happen everyday, but nonetheless, it still happens. I've noticed that any subject of racism typically only discusses blacks (when talking about discrimination), but fails to mention any other race. Anything offensive with blacks is spot on, but yet if it was one of any other race, it would be brushed off.
For example, this issue over who gets to use the n* word. In a sense, that is segregation. To permit one race to do something and another not. "Oh, I'm black, so I can use it. But no white person can." - this is not "claiming", it's more like revenge if anything. And supporting this act is reinforcing racism in today's society. There should be no boundaries; all for one, one for all.
That's just my two cents. One particular race should not have more privileges than the other, but that's how the world works.

If minorities hate white people in America it won't effect the white group. If whites hates the minorities, there's 400 years of history to show the damage and the effects. That's just how it goes.
No one is saying All White People = Perfect Life, it's saying being white means you benefit from racism. It doesn't mean you're racist.
Example of this:
Mortgage brokers tricking black and latino people into taking ****** loans and charging them higher rates and fees than white people with similar credit. http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2...rs-wells-fargo
Also, the fact that white man CRIMINAL record is more likely to get hired at job than an educated black man WITHOUT a criminal record. http://www.dmiblog.com/archives/2007...ely_to_be.html
The white home owners and criminals may not be racist, but they're not going to receive the same F'd up treatment because they are white.

Well hello to you too
But in all seriousness, the cycle of racism is consistently repeated throughout society, and everyone is to blame. I just don't like how issues of other races are ignored. But in general I agree with the jist of the slide

![Bibliotheque](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/biblio_zps23dff242.gif) white people have more privileges as it is, they don't NEED to say the n word or any other racial slur, and they shouldn't. its not their place. Minorities can use their racial slurs and white people can't, and they need to get over it.

So what I got from this PowerPoint and thread:
- white people can't have opinions
- if they do have opinions, this means that they're trying to overpower other races, and are therefore racist
- if white people question this, they're not only racist, but ignorant as well
Got it! ![Randy](images/smilies/images/smilies/bestsmileyever.gif)

It's sad that I am being attacked for a very vague opinion I have brought forth, and do not try to deny you are trying to attack me because you know you are.
It's also sad that because I have this opinion, it is assumed I am White. In all actuality, the presentation groups me as a Person of Color.
So no, the points I don't agree with don't affect me at all, seeing as they are towards White people.
I could go ahead and outline my thoughts on every slide if you would prefer?

I don't really understand why White people want to use the N-Word so badly?
White people have all this privilege already, but they want to get mad because they can't call people n-ggers?
They shouldn't want to in the first place.

Tumblr activists are not going to change the definition of the word 'racism'. The fact remains that it is entirely possible to be racist towards white people- that's not to say it's a big problem like racism towards black people is, but it is possible and it does happen, although much much less regularly. If a person is being prejudiced or discriminated against based on their race, they are a victim of racism regardless of their skin colour. The Oxford Dictionary agrees.
