I guess she was mad about it being a 4th person period, when we know Mariah is a diva so she would've probably been mad at any other female she saw in there and bitter towards them and not even Nicki (I don't think she got anything against Nicki for being the 4th, she was just mad at the fact there was a 4th. She was wanting that Paula type attention, with 1 female and 2 males. ).
Mariah could've got over it, or Nicki could've asked her to talk it out. It's all done now though, so hEY.

The delusion of some of this thread. I am sure a woman with more than 200 million albums sold WW, 18 #1 US singles, 5 Grammy Awards, and a 25 year old career is pressed.....right.

from day 1 mariah wanted to be the only woman on that panel, and that's BECAUSE she joined it for the publicity
she was immature the whole time and it was dumb of her to be so threatened by the presence of another woman

I'm not calling Mariah pressed, but Madonna is the best-selling female artist of all time and one could argue that Madonna was "pressed" over the Gaga situation (I don't believe she was either, I love M).

She wasn't threatened by Nicki's presence, she was threatened by her gun.
Mariah was simply annoyed with the situation. Nicki is a very obnoxious person and throughout all of AI it was pretty clear that she was always trying to one-up Mariah in some way or another. It was tedious and MC knew how it was gonna go down the moment she found out Nicki was gonna be on the panel. If you're forced to work with someone you don't like you're not gonna have a good time. I doubt Mariah would have agreed to participate had she known that they were gonna throw in a surprise 4th member.

I really dislike Nicki, but thank god that there were 2 females on the show, because she saved that panel. Mariah was stiff and unemotional the whole time. It was obvious that she was there to collect ha coins.

Tbh, she was pressed. But she had every reason to be  I like Nicki, but it was kinda unfair that she had to share with a rapper who was only around for 3 years...

I'm not surprised too see a few sorry asses in here. Like there fave hasn't done 20 interviews since the..."incident" to discuss the same thing over and over, but DRAGT!
Meanwhile, I loved the interview. So laid back and fun. I'm glad her and Angie had a great time. Werk Queen!

Nicki NEVER threatened Mariah with a gun 
It was already said by Nigel (the Idol producer) that that was false. And Mariah never heard those words come of Onika's mouth. Mariah's team claimed to hear it and told Mariah herself.
There's no fact to it. It's an empty accusation used to conjure up more drama in the panel.
As said above, Mariah HAD NO PROBLEM WITH NICKI. She didn't DISLIKE her. She actually was very fond of her. She was annoyed that there was a fourth woman on the panel, when they only promised three. She would've been annoyed at anybody. Hell, JLO was the one Mariah didn't like at ALL. She had a very great relationship with Nicki before Idol. She would've given the cold shoulder to any woman that joined.

She's understood the logic to becoming one of the most successful artists of all-time, not to mention writing, producing, singing, and making most of her hits.
