LOL Some of you are overreacting, I do love the video but not that much to make me shred a tear, that's way out of line. Anyways, I love it, 10/10 song and video.

I have to disagree. Did you watch each scene? The old man? The teen couple?

It's a story line really. The old man lost his wife due to old age and now he's crying because he's so lonely without her and etc...

And the teen couple had to break up due to the mother? I think so. Not sure, I saw the video once. And then you have the guy who goes to war and leaves his girlfriend/wife.

It fits the lyrics completely. Read the lyrics and watch the storyline/plot again. I'm sure you'll get it the second time through.

It's not some random video where Avril is just singing like in "Nobody's Home" or something like that.
