This show has been needing a change for a longgg time now. It's almost a chore for me to update the Archive because there's just nothing interesting or exciting about TRL anymore. Maybe the type of "rock" that gets shown will change along with the name. I certainly get sick of reading the recap everyday only to see either Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance being the only constants in the form of "rock" for the past year and a half. They shafted "Through Glass", "Dig", "Coming Undone", "Only", in the past year and a half, now it's time to show some videos like those that are actually good and are in the vein of hard rock/alternative.

Bring on the overhaul, MTV, you're gonna need it.

OMG, I think you really need to stop complaining. It's TRL, not Rock Top 10. And let's not forget that "What I've Done" by Linkin Park is a current number-one on TRL.

rock is way too underated nowadays. The only modern rock station I had here is gone now and I have nothing good. If this was an all rock TRL, wouldn't you complain about too little pop?

OMG. I think some of you are overly dramatic. I think it's about time we started over actually. We now have a 40 day retirement rule and although I know TRL isn't as frequent as it used to be, there are PLENTY of videos with more than 40 days on the countdown and still no retirement. We need to choose a new concept and stick with it. ;p

They just need to have an expanded playlist of music. I know that no matter how much I hope and pray, TRL will never be mostly rock, but I can hope that they will at least play more rock and even hip hop too. When 8-9 of the songs each day are pop, that is just too much and its the same 8-9 over and over.
