She left Christina music for pop and now she wants to leave pop for Joni-style music....which will make her go back to pop when it underperforms. I bet her label is not even gonna let her go the Joni route. They want the money.
I would love that. She has a great voice for acoustic music, her MTV Unplugged EP was amazing. I hope she does this, and doesn't let her label push her into making more "pop hits" every album.
She says that about every album though. She could easily move into a direction out of the pop world seeing how her first album could have lead into something less pop. However she chose to go into the pure pop world, which it isn't a bad thing.
