So people who have a different opinion are pressed, i'm sorry but that is such an easy cop out to say when you don't want to be challenged. It doesn't matter whether or not the VMA's is not as held in high regard of the grammy awards, that doesn't mean anything that is served we must accept. Miley crossed the line plain and simple when Robin Thicke came out. Miley wanted to be controversial and as a result it automatically comes with criticism for her actions as well, if she doesn't like it then don't do it again. Plus you can't even compare it to the iconic performance that came out 10 years ago, as they are on two different levels despite being from somewhat the same cloth.

It's art is the excuse everyone has used on Gaga's ridiculousness since she started. Someone explain to me how Gaga's performance was art besides her showcasing her different eras and the BTW backlash? How was her being naked art? Not that I think her being naked was an issue but when you start trying to defend something that doesn't need to be defended by calling it art, it becomes such a copout.
