I don't think there's time to re-locate the games at this point. Even I raised an eyebrow when it was announced the Olympics were going to such a stuck-up and party-crashing nation.

I doubt entire delegations would boycott, but that would be pretty awesome. Hopefully nothing terrible happens to the LGBT athletes.

Death. The IOC just said a couple days ago the new laws WON'T effect the games. Now this has come to light, yes BOYCOTT the games. All major sponsors BETTER pull out!

Its too late to relocate the games. No city would be ready in time for such a large scale event on short notice.

Also, this is completely violates the Olympic charter. The IOC is gonna have to do something to make sure the ahtletes, their families and visitors attending the games are safe.

I mean, if a gay American is arrested in Russia or Dubai, for instance, wouldn't it create an international stir? I heard that although regular citizens could be killed or sentenced to jail for a certain period in such countries, foreigners would just be deported...

I also read somewhere else people in suspicion of being gay will be arrested too and that's just dumb. What if someone who's actually straight gets arrested? Either way a country with these kinds of laws shouldn't be hosting such a large scale sporting event in this century. I really hope their government actually gets rid of this law instead of the Olympics committee actually having to cancel or postpone this event because it wouldn't be fair for the athletes who practiced really hard

People won't get arrested for simply being gay, they just can't do anything gay like kiss in public. So it's back in the closet or off to jail.

According to what I read, foreginers can be jailed for up 14 days before being deported in regards to the new anti-gay laws.

And there is nothing any country can do about it. If your arrested in a foreign country for violating one of their laws, your subject to whatever punishment they see fit.
