Scream & Shout is a microwaved last call on the EDM bandwagon hit. The trainwreck VMA performance alone cements Gimme More as more memorable in the long-term. S&S is not even Top 10 on the list of the most memorable hits from both Britney or Will.i.am's music catalogs

People acting like Gimme More didn't reach #3 in the US and the media attention the VMAs got, as bad as it was, focused on the "It's Britney Bitch" part as some sort of clever intro into their news segments.

I get what youre coming from, and in a normal situation, you would think that would be the case, but the breakdown/that performance really overshadowed everything else. People were focusing on the bad dancing, not the intro of the start of the start of the song.
