To be honest, the top 5 girls should be Madonna, Rihanna, Nicki, Taylor and Gaga (based on tour).
I would love for Rihanna to be #1 or Nicki but it seems weird that people think Beyonce or gaga deserve it.
I feel like 2012-2013 was not a high point in their career and that next year they would probably be better contenders for #1.
Also, Gaga and Madonna were touring forces but not big in any other areas and took nosedives in radio, Justing Bieber and RIhanna's tour grosses will be split in between Forbes cutoff. Adele doesn't have anything outside of incredible sales and awards.

I think that people forget that Nicki had the following:
20m+ for tour
12M for american idol
10M for 3 New years eve shows
royalties, publishing, merchandising
that lipstick thing
Her fragrance which was a success
Her sign on bonus for the pink pill (which she just tweeted was a top seller)
Her ads with pepsi/adidas
Her sign on bonus for her clothing line

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what it would based on outside of touring because don't they include radio/media/tv presence etc.
