That's a very ridiculous reaction by your mother, but maybe she sees Beyoncé on a different light than you do and the thought of a son of hers having a celebrity as an inspiration might be a little too much.

In terms of pop girls, back in 2008-10 my mom stanned SO hard for Gaga, though she mostly jumped ship with BTW I'm sure she'll be back for ARTPOP, lately she's been asking where Gaga has been.
