Yes. I didn't think about that. Each album has a distinctive sound to it. She's done something different each album.
BOMT - brought bubble gum teen pop back in the 90s.
OIDIA - stayed teen pop, but sexed up the sound a bit.
Britney - came out of the box with a sexy vibe to her album. Very unpredictable.
In the Zone - experimented extremely with new producers and new sounds. RnB, funk, pop, rock, etc. and blended them together perfectly.
Greatest Hits: MP - the new songs on the compilation had a rock vibe to them with a hard edge to the pop sound.
Blackout - experimented again with new producers and delivered an amazing dance album. Included a song which had the first dubstep influences, 4 years before it blew up.
Circus - more light and fluffy than blackout, but still had a very sexy edge.
Femme Fatale - first artist to bring dubstep to mainstream music. First album with dubstep influences from a mainstream artist.

No. She's essentially a very unpredictable artist which adds to her mystique. I mean we know so much yet so little about her at the same time.
The non-fans always doubt the underdog. She's the most successful female artist of the 21st century and from the beginning of her career she was never supposed to do many things:
She was never supposed to:
-have another hit after Baby one more time because she was a one-hit wonder.
-do it again after having a diamond selling debut...oops
-who expected the 2000 VMAs performance
-have a successful album after the teen pop crazed died down.
-have relevance in the industry because people perceived her as a one-trick pony who only was successful for her looks, body and clever marketing and was supposed to be one-dimensional.
-have a successful career after Justin Timberlake exposed her to further his career
-have success after rebelling with her looks and marrying an out of work dancer
-have success after the sex symbol image died with her rebellious basic looks and conceiving two babies
-have success after a public meltdown and rehab
-have success after tarnishing her performance image after the 2007 VMAs
-have success with an album 2 weeks after losing custody of her kids
-comeback from a meltdown after being on 5150 hold
-lasting career after the comeback hype died down
-launching successful tours garnering 200M gross.
-have longevity with the newer group of artist taking over
-doing Xfactor and getting public praise on the xfactor for being sane as many expected her to be unable to handle the job.
-Being the first talent show host to not need the show to boost their dying career
because it was make her look like a hasbeen
-being featured on a Will.i.am song AND IT BEING A SMASH due to Britney so she essentially has made careers for the irrelevants.
-Doing a Vegas residency at 31 with top 10 hits on the radio and platinum albums and millions grossed on tour. Again, defying the stigma that this deal is only for hasbeens.
Music and imagewise:
She shifts from era to era.
1) Baby one more time-(
Teen pop/Bubble gum pop) girl next door image being youthful, effervescent playful teen innocence and the spirit of being young and having fun.
2) Oops...I did it again-(
Cheezy/faux edge overproduced pop) good girl with a wink
3) Britney-(
urban pop/teen angst crossroads) Coming of age transition phase from girl to woman
4) In the zone-(
underground dance/vibey trancey and electro pop) her college party girl experimental phase Her free spirit, college, experimental image.
4-5) Greatest hits-MP:
(electronic pop leftover) Her burnt out, rebellious image where she made declarative statements
5) Blackout-
(european, dark, edgy dance pop) Her dark, out of control, girl gone wild post-rebellious/self destruction image
6) Circus- (conglomerate of her strengths/anthem pop) the comeback lessons learned from a jaded woman - Her comeback phase where it was really a compilation of her strongest themes from albums 1-5.
6-7 The Singles collection- Another GH album but 3 had rave, dance influences bringing back the 90s sound that artist having been using for the past 2 years.
7) Femme fatale
(dubstep/modern, club dance pop)
Note: LOL at the bey stans lurking and perched in a Britney thread. Her impact is undeniable.
