Wait, hold on... the lyrics to BTHE are more silly and simple than SUBG's lyrics???
In SUBG, she repeats "yeah, yeah, since u been gone" every other line in the verses, and sings short "silly" statements like "here's the thing, we started out friends," "it was cool, but it was all pretend," and "thanks to you, I get what I want." While in BTHE she has much deeper, more powerful statements like "Everything, it felt so right... unbreakable, like nothing could go wrong," "But you won't get to see the tears I cry behind these hazel eyes," and "No, I don't cry on the outside anymore."
I dunno, I like BTHE better because I tap in to the emotions of the song. She seems to emote more in the song too, probably because she actually wrote some of it. SUBG is just something to rock out to in your car, or at a club/dance, and it doesn't feel like she connects to it much.
