It seems like it considering they were shot so long ago and she no longer tweets about Sleepwalker. Maybe she'll release one right before American GIrl to build hype?

The first hint completely confirms that "American Girl" is the chosen single.

Bonnie is aging gracefully, but my biggest issue with the fact that it's taken so long for us to finally get some progress with her, is indeed her age. Because I know it's harder for a woman over 25 to succeed in this fickle industry.

Bonnie's the same age as Katy, but Katy broke through 5 years ago. She's in her late 20, so it's basically now or never. (That's why I had really wished that she'd released her album in Mid-2011 like she originally thought she was going to.)

However, at the same time, I'm glad she's kept her release record clean. That's why I'm even okay with her skipping the promo videos and going straight to the first single.

I just can't handle girls with messy release histories. It never goes well for them... (examples: Neon Hitch, Porcelain Black, Sabi, Skylar Grey, ect...) Who all have multiple singles and videos but no hits and no albums.

Yeah, it's a shame she's not younger. They should market her as a pro songwriter that's finally ready to have her big moment in the spotlight (or something like that) so her age fits her public persona.

You're totally right about the girls with messy launches, it's probably for the best that she's skipping straight to AG.
If AG isn't well received / doesn't catch on, I hope she releases her Katy duet next. That would ensure she develops some kind of momentum and doesn't end up going nowhere like the failed pop star hopefuls.

Katy probably isn't releasing for a while. She has an Icona Pop duet coming out that will likely run its course before she releases her lead single.
