Both were great (but at the same time underwhelming) but overall I preferred Madonna's SB performance more based off the set list, the intro & production.
IMO, Madonna DEFINITELY trumped Bey & Bey was fairly underwhelming.
Madonna came with an ALL-OUT SuperBowl spectacle while Beyonce delivered her typical, formulaic performances we've all been used to for years now, and her vocals seemed REALLY off.
This. I much prefer Beyonce to Madonna, I don't like Madonna at all, but her performance was grand and epic and Beyonce's was still really good but kind of a mess. There was no cohesion between songs, it was just like a really short concert as opposed to a show.
The best part was having Kelly and Michelle do Single Ladies with her.
I loved Beyonce's performance but let's be real, Madonna's performance was better, the transitions, outfits and stage, all was incredible and really memorable, Madonna set the bar really high specially for a female artist, Beyonce was the best choice to follow Madonna but still Madonna was better, I'd still give a lot of kudos to Beyonce for singing this live, it must be incredible difficult to do so in front of such huge audience.
Beyonce is a great performer and she did a great job there, but the show was boring. We've seen it all before. She showed us nothing new. Same old, same old/
Madonna's performance was simply majestic. From the grand entrance to that stunning crown, to completely different settings for each song she performed. It was simply on another level and instantly memorable.
