Is it just me or has TRL been continuously bad for the last few months? I honestly don't think there's been a single day that I liked at least half the songs on any episode. I don't know, maybe TRL just isn't for me anymore. Which sucks because pretty much every other program on MTV is total crap. Music Television? What a joke.

I didn't watch TRL today, but I did the last two days. Here is what I think about the songs.

10.Aly & AJ - Rush (3rd Day/-2/Peak:08)
They look cute, but I think they are younger than JoJo. They sound like Hilary Duff to me. The video reminds me of how I could spend spring break if I had a girlfriend. I'd like this song better if it came out back when I liked listening to certain songs by Hilary Duff. Now I just think it's a bit better than mediocre, but not good enough to stay on my countdown long enough to retire.

09.Kanye West - Touch The Sky (7th Day/-3/Peak:06)
This video is set at the Grand Canyon with Kanye playing some competitor to Evel Kineval. That's what I gather. My favorite rap song on the countdown.

08.Teddy Geiger - For You I Will (Confidence) (18th Day/RETURN/Peak:03)
More teen pop that I don't care about. His style reminds me too much of Jesse McCartney.

07.Hawthorne Heights - Saying Sorry (9th Day/+2/Peak:07)
What I call the least poppish video here. Straight-up rock.

06.Ashlee Simpson - L.O.V.E (43rd Day/-1/Peak:01[10])
It looks like Ashlee will retire with this video. I liked her fashion better in the video for "Boyfriend."

05.LL Cool J f/ Jennifer Lopez - Control Myself (8th Day/-1/Peak:02)
If I'm not mistaken, both LL Cool J and Jennifer are in their 30's. I don't care for Jennifer's vocals in this song.

04.The All-American Rejects - Move Along (26th Day/-1/Peak:01[5])
If P.O.D. weren't an option, I'd be voting for this video. I liked the song a lot when I first heard it in the 3rd ATRL song contest.

03.Ne-Yo - So Sick (22nd Day/-1/Peak:02)
I'm getting sick of this song. If I heard this song on the radio, I'd switch stations. I get tired of songs about love and relationships if I listen to too many of them at once.

02.Bo Bice - The Real Thing (3rd Day/+5/Peak:02)
I think Bo is more handsome than Clay Aiken. It must be his hair and beard. I wouldn't recognize Bo for a while if he got a haircut. Not much I can say about this song since I haven't heard the whole thing yet, but I'd rather listen to Bo Bice than Teddy Geiger.

01.Madonna - Sorry (9th Day/=/Peak:01[6])
TRL's one token electronic song that isn't hip-hop, R&B or a synth-rock pop hybrid. I don't think there's anything that can only be called "pop music." So what kinds of pop music do I recognize? Rock, electronic, urban, acoustic and hybrids of such genres.

I'd like to see P.O.D. back on the countdown. I made a new MTV.com account just to vote for P.O.D. Since only MTV.com members can vote once a day online, the voting crews for certain artists will have to take a couple minutes to register in order to vote. It also prevents people from voting for more than one different video a day. Is there still a way to vote by phone? If so, it's not advertised on MTV.com at the moment.

And you misspelled Hospital. You forgot the a. It's alright though, nothing wrong bout that.

What they need to do is play more different videos. About half the videos don't get noticed and (as I've said before) the annoyance that is COI took up space just a few weeks back (thankfully that's off). While the countdown is getting even better than before, they still need to play more new videos or ones that are on the voting list but don't get noticed till the last possible moment.

What a great week! Madonna swept the entire week at #1. Ashlee continues to drop....Just don't let Bo Bice be #1 on Monday...If ever there's a video who could replace a great song of Madonna, it is still not on the countdown, Hope PCD returns. That's the video I'm hoping to get to #1..
