Gotye's Save Me makes it at #79 on my Best of 2012! Love the beat and chorus to the song!
Quality: 8/10
Great song with a different sound to it than today's pop music. I like how the song opens up with a strange chorus with an awesome beat followed by nice vocals by Gotye.
Likeability: 7.5/10
Quite easy to get into the song, but since this strong has such a strange chorus to it, some may take a while to be able to like it.
Re-playability: 6.5/10
Good song, but not one of the songs that I would want to listen to constantly.
Overall: 7.3/10
Overall, I thought Save Me is a pretty solid song that I am able to enjoy.
Lana Del Rey's Born to Die makes it to #13 on my Best of 2012 list! As she finds her way throughout Europe, I did pick up a few songs which I enjoy off her debut album!
Likeability: 6.5/10
Likeable? Not that much. Its hard to get into most of her songs, but when you find the right song for you you'll definitely like it.
Quality: 8.5/10
I like how throughout her album she sticks with strange themes that not many artists will touch. Just the names of the songs will catch your eyes. I mean when I saw the title "Videogames" I thought it was a joke. Good lyrics as well.
Three Good Songs
I enjoyed three songs of this album, and they are as follow in ranking:
1) Born to Die 9/10
2) Dark Paradise 8.6/10
3) Videogames 7/10
I really like my first two choices, but I feel like Videogames is overrated.
Overall: 7/10
Although she has some good hits, shes very monotone in alot of her songs which prevents me from liking her other songs.
Jason Mraz's I Won't Give Up makes it at #78 on my Best of 2012!
Quality: 7/10
Throughout the song its pretty good, but I do feel like it takes a while to hit the notes I enjoy the most on it. I do feel part of the songs are also lackluster losing your interest a bit.
Likeability: 7.8/10
Pretty likeable, just need to be given some time. On the first listen I didn't like it much, but after hearing it a few times I enjoyed it more and more!
Re-playability: 7/10
Pretty nice when you get into the tone of the song, but it wears off pretty quickly. Song is still great though
Overall 7.5/10
I like how the song plays it self out, but I do feel it has its moment where its a bit lacking.
