Not really, at least not in Mexico. Hate crimes are practically non-existent and gay bullying is minimal. I mean it does happen, but it's too mild to be considered an issue.
I've heard homophobic comments in my class, they were talking about if their children turn out to be gay when they have one, they would send them to a conversion camp or they would shove a stick up their ass like they were ****ing laughing and I was ****ing scared. they can be whatever the immature they want but that's sick to even think about

no to me, i'm not explicitly open about my bisexuality.
however, i've heard comments about the things i like being homosexually based, like "Glee is such a gay show" or "Lady GayGay" or something stupid like that, but never directed at me. according to my friends, i scare people in general with my appearance too much for anyone to aim their homophobia at me

I used to make GaGa statuses on FB all the time so the jocks would sometimes make jokes about how she's a man around me but I just ignored it.
