There's been too much talk about how this album will put her back on top. Wasn't LA Reid saying that this is going to be huge or something? Anyway, if she gave the idea that she just wants to do what she wants to do, and doesn't care about charts, then no matter where on any chart she lands, I wouldn't consider it a flop. However all I've been hearing is how this is supposed to be huge, and then she released rather boring songs, and then they're not really taking off, so it feels like a flop.

Sometimes I wish that artists would just realize they've made their mark and perhaps are no longer where pop music is, and so should just focus on their artistry because that's all that's going to carry them through. Making ten albums that try to get hits vs. making 3 albums of high quality is much better for your legacy.
