I don't think it is. I can add songs directly from my itunes to spotify but when you check under her name in the search menu it doesn't appear so I don't think the plays count at all.

Hm, I imported the track from Amazon beforehand, so could that be why its showing up for me? I clicked on her artist name and the song is there.
