After the war, Carol is sitting at her old chair reminiscing her beautiful past. A copy of the newspaper,as of the day before the war started is still kept on the side table, folded to the page which her husband was reading. She never knew that a day will come that they will be parted. She can still hear the chainsaw that slit her husband while she helplessly hid in the laundry basket.
The past flashes back to her mind.As she lay her wet clothes on the clothesline. She hears the sharp sound of her dogs growling. She turns around and takes an apprehensive step forward. She remembers what Tony has been telling her when he was still alive' "Don't be afraid, I'm always by your side". Her courage grew as his words comforted her. Carol nods to herself and heads to the door. She opens it and there, in that moment, she realized that she had just committed a terrible mistake.

That mistake of letting Tony go. That was her biggest regret of her life. She sees the escort standing all poised at the door, His green eyes seductive as his hair threatens to cover his face. She yells I'm sorry, throws him the money, slams the door and slides down on the door hugging her knees. Desperately trying to get her self together as sobs threaten to overtake her.

Usually, she tries to keep herself distracted with daily errands just to keep her thoughts to bay, but today they didn't seem so troublesome. So, stroking her son's hair, she let herself get lost in her thoughts.
