It's the third tier major label imprints that you really have to worry about. Interscope's Cherrytree Records, Universal/RedOne's vanity imprint 2120, come to mind. They're little more than graveyards for second rate acts who couldn't cut it on the main label.
Navy choosing Rih's label over a few ineffective-at-the-end-of-the-day choices compared to the MESS of Bad Boy dropping acts after 1 album & Hollywood moving on after they milk you need to be more appreciative.
Hollywood Records. I don't really get why people hate HWR.
Hollywood Records is notorious for under/not promoting their artists. As someone said before, they waited half a year to give Demi a new single, they mishandled the CBT era and no matter how successful you are they'll only give you two singles per era, at the most.
I love what IDJ did for Mariah's career , as in TEOM & touch my body but after that they been hurting mariah's career rather then helping. Not releasing Migrate , For The Record , Side Effects. Memoirs era was a mess. Obsessed could have went to #1 instead of peaking at #7 if given more promo & too much more to list. At least MCIIY garnered some success. IDJ main subject is Rihanna.
