Dave Meyers directed the video for "So What".
The video begins in a tattoo parlour, Pink is getting a tattoo of a red void mark on her arm across an existing tattoo before the scene cuts to Pink riding down Sunset Boulevard on a lawnmower and drinking alcohol. Pink is then shown entering Guitar Center browsing guitars. She pretends to play before attempting to smash it into the ground, but she is restrained by a store clerk which leads to them engaging in a fight. Pink is shown cutting down a tree engraved with her real name and her ex-husband's names with a chainsaw. She cries on the chainsaw, while telling herself that she is all right, right before the tree falls and nearly crushes her neighbor (played by Will Sasso). After this, Pink is sitting in a bar after losing her table to Jessica Simpson, accompanied by a man who is playing the drums out of glasses. The next scene goes to Pink on a motorbike, while a newly wedded couple in a car pull up beside her and wave and smile at her. Jealous and outraged at the happy newlyweds, Pink is shown throwing objects at the car and popping the blown up condoms used to decorate the vehicle, before climbing onto it and playfully (albeit violently) attacking the vehicle. Pink is then shown stripping on the red carpet, surrounded by photographers, she takes off her jacket to reveal her (blurred) nude body.
The paparazzi all snap photos of her as she does choreography from Michael Jackson's video for "Thriller" naked, but more akin to Austin Powers 2. Then while getting her hair done, her stylist applies hairspray, as Pink turns on her cigarette lighter, accidentally setting her hair on fire. Also shown are two men urinating in beer bottles, which they give to Pink, however Pink passes them to two guys walking past her. They drink it and then realizing what it is, spit it out in disgust. Finally, Pink is shown surrounded by men and women in their underwear engaging in a pillow fight. The video then cuts between all the scenes shown in the video before ending with Pink poking her tongue at the camera with her husband.
Pink is also shown performing the song in concert near the end. Pink's husband Carey Hart makes cameos throughout the video, such as a scene where they are talking as newspaper headlines flash behind them. Producer Butch Walker also makes a cameo. Pink has stated that Hart had not heard the song prior to arriving for the video shoot. The video was released on September 6 on iTunes. The video was ranked on VH1 as the 3rd best music video of 2008 on the Top 40 Videos of 2008. On Facebook it was the second favorite video of 2008. The scene from the video where Pink's hair is set on fire is censored on MTV UK and its sister channels. That scene is replaced with other short clips from the video.
The singer shot the video for the song "Fly" alongside Ja Rule in the Royal Club, of Marcus Buaiz, Wanessa's husband. The video shows Wanessa and Rule talking on top of a building and dancing in the club. It also brings Rule of individual scenes in front of an LED display and sipping champagne with girls and Wanessa sitting on a sofa with a silver dress. The clip has also highlighted the good quality in sound and image.
"Fly" reached in just less than a month, the mark of 1 million hits on Youtube, even before the singer went on any TV show to promote music. It now has over 4 million views on youtube as of August 2011. The video premiered on April 8, 2009, at MTV Brazil.
The music video for "Happiness" was directed by Dougal Wilson.
The video features a young man, dressed in a white suit, jumping joyfully around Addington Square in Camberwell, South London. The video, a homage to the "Street Dance" sequence from the 1953 American musical film Small Town Girl, begins with Alison Goldfrapp sitting on the front steps of a house when suddenly the young man appears jumping up a set of steps next to her.
Goldfrapp makes additional cameo appearances in the video as a black-haired bus traveller, a policewoman, a topiarist, and a braided flower stand keeper. Will Gregory makes similar appearances as, among others, a street sweeper and a postman. The video concludes with the cast of background characters coming together along with the young man, who then jumps in a circle with young children and a dancing dog. In the final scene, two elderly people—Goldfrapp and Gregory—arrive to join the revelry.
The music video was filmed on September 24 and September 25, 2008 in Los Angeles, California, directed by Joseph Kahn.
The video begins with an opening caption that reads "Womanizer". During the introduction, Spears is naked and smiling at a sauna, while covering herself with her hands. These scenes are seen throughout the video. When the first verse begins, a blond Spears wearing a slip nightgown is making breakfast for her boyfriend (played by model Brandon Stoughton) as he gets ready for work. When he is at the office, he sees a new secretary, which is actually Spears in disguise wearing horn-rimmed glasses and a pencil skirt. She starts dancing in front of him and sings the chorus.
She makes him follow her into the photocopier, where she photocopies her buttocks. On the back, we see an awkward-looking man, the same who appears in the plane scene on "Toxic". Then, Spears is disguised as a redhaired waitress in a restaurant. She dances around him with her dancers and plays with him over the kitchen counter. After this, her boyfriend is seen getting driven home by Spears, disguised as chauffeur. She starts to kiss him, driving the car with her heel until both get home. Once they get into the bedroom, Spears reveals that she was the three women he was "womanizing" all along. She then begins attacking her boyfriend.
This is shown through Spears as her three alter egos, and then as the real version of herself. Spears throws a blanket over him and making the bed. The video ends with Spears smiling, and a repeat of the opening caption.
The music video for "Womanizer" became a worldwide success right after it premiered on the Internet, gaining seven million viewers in less than 48 hours. The music video was listed as the best video of 2008 in polls by MTV and Fuse TV. It won Music Video of the Year at the 2009 NRJ Music Awards.
The video was also nominated for Best Pop Video and Video of the Year at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. It lost the latter category to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies", but won Best Pop Video.
There are two videos for this song: the first version also known as the UK version was filmed in April 2004 on Staten Island, New York, the first video was directed by Brad Palmer and Brian Palmer under their studio surround. Later on in the year the label decided to create a more mainstream video for the US market: the second video also known as the US version was filmed in Los Angeles, California during November 2004. It stars Flowers, Izabella Miko, and Eric Roberts in a love triangle, taking place within the context of a burlesque show. Directed by Sophie Muller, it was apparently inspired by the 2001 film Moulin Rouge!.
The American version won an MTV VMA in 2005 for Best New Artist in a Video. The photos that are featured on the inner sleeve of the album "Hot Fuss" were shot on set during the filming of the UK version music video and were inspired by the black and white look of that video.
Paul Oakenfold feat Brittany Murphy - Faster Kill Pussycat (2006)
The music video, shot on the rooftop of a parking garage in downtown Los Angeles, features Brittany Murphy dancing, with scenes of Oakenfold as a DJ and a wild crowd. Directed by renowned music video director Jake Nava, it premiered on television in May 2006, and received airplay on MTV and other music channels. It was also a pre-loaded video on Microsoft's Zune.
The music video for the song is set on a Beach in South Africa. The girls are doing activities such as sunbathing and paddling in the sea. The group then venture the coastline after jumping into a car, which Jenny Frost is driving; admiring the scenery and singing along to the song. The group then attend a party in a bar at the beach, dancing with several people. During this, it occasionally switches to the group dancing on a pier, during the tranquil sunset. The video then ends with the girls sitting around a campfire, in the dead of night, with the party still in mid-conflict. Throughout the process of the video, the girls are constantly staring at different men. The video is famous for the girl's wearing bikinis and other sexy clothing, the feel good vibes and the stylish, modernness of the video.
Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around...Comes Around (2007)
The music video for the "What Goes Around... Comes Around" was produced as a short movie.
The video was directed by Samuel Bayer, who had first directorial works with Nirvana's 1991 single "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
The video features dialogues written by Alpha Dog writer and director Nick Cassavetes, who had previously worked with Timberlake in the film. Timberlake and Bayer enlisted American actress Scarlett Johansson after deciding on using "real" actors. The shooting went for three days between Christmas and New Year's Eve in Los Angeles.
The dawn scene was shot on January 8, after the original sessions were done.
The video starts off with Timberlake flirting with Johansson on the rooftop of a 1950's Moulin Rouge circus-style club. She rejects with a tease at first but eventually leaves with him to go back to his place. In between cuts, they are shown in bed caressing each other. Johansson jumps into a pool outside the house, and floats below the surface as if she is drowning. Timberlake runs out and pulls her up; she laughs at Timberlake and kisses him.
In another scene, Timberlake introduces her to a drunk Shawn Hatosy at the club calling her "The One". Hatosy seems to be interested in Johansson, despite Timberlake asking him to "look out for her". Timberlake returns and finds them kissing in the stairway. After punching Hatosy he chases after Johansson, who speeds off in her 1967 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Sting Ray; Timberlake follows in his Porsche Carrera GT. Johansson runs into a fiery car crash pile up and is ejected from the car as it tumbles through the air and lands several feet away 2 times. Timberlake notices a motionless body lying supine on the ground. He gets out and kneels over her while the camera view moves toward the sky.
Some scenes shows Timberlake performing on the stairway with a microphone while a group of unknown girls with red paint on their eyes are seen dancing next to him while one (Johansson) is seen waving her batons with fire on them near the end of the video.
