She is. Madonna was the 70/80's, Britney was the 90's to the early 00's and now GaGa currently has that title.

Rihanna or Adele take her place when it comes to that.

I don't have anything against her, but the Monsters sometimes annoy me when they try it with Madonna and then act as if Gaga is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Madonna is greater than Gaga, I get it. But we're talking about the whole generation thing. Madonna's had her chance, and so has Britney. So besides Britney, who's the current "queen of pop?" If you ask me, Gaga fits the spot just right.
