I like Born To Die more than I like Marina's new album but overall I'd say I like Marina more. She's more artistic, has fresh new ideas and has more variety.
The UK public have certainly decided which they prefer. Marina's 2 week old album drops from #1 last week to #13 this week, a pretty calamitous drop. Born To Die remains in the Top 5 (at #5) in its 15th week on the chart. Marina, for all her talent, isn't connecting with the public.
I voted for Marina even though I love both. I think generally people who have given an equal listen to both and like both admit that Marina is at least a bit better. I love Lana but whats with that personality.
Marina, simply because of "The Family Jewels" and her lyrics. Lana is cool, but not really relatable. I find her references to various stuff in her songs a bit repetitive (how many times do I have to listen about Chateau Marmont/Marilyn/Elvis until I throw my cd through the window and delete my folder of leaks?). May Jailer slays, though.
They are both so amazing
Marina gets my vote because her debut is the best piece of music I know.
