Only if you're trying to justify why only black people should use it.
Another excerpt from my paper:
Quote:
As a community, we don’t benefit from its misuse, but we also don’t benefit from its nonuse. When we cannot even use the word in an educational context without referring to it as the “n-word”, the word grows in its power. The matter of the fact is, an educational context is the only context fit for it to remain in.
N***A (suffix -A) is the word that Blacks derived from the original term. This term is commonly used for referencing other black males
i.e. Hey my N**A!
N****R is the original term.People do not use it as often because of the racist history.
The main reason I can't/refuse to see the difference is because of the fact that "n***a" comes from "n***er", and both seem to have a negative light on them. I still see them as the same. That's all.

I know I may seem a bit ignorant or "Uneducated', but I can see the people within the community using it as an "inside joke", per say, but not exactly. However, someone who is white that uses it can genuinely seem racist for obvious reasons.
A Cracker is a white person who was born & raised in FLORIDA. I would know because I live in Florida. Being a "cracker" in Florida is like ... an Honor.
I think most people are ignoring the point of this thread, it wasn't to discuss what race can say the word it was to discuss whether the word should be used altogether due to its background and whether urban culture/ rap music might be to blame or have a part of it.
