Gurlz before working with Rihanna Calvin Harris was on high demand to work with Mary J Blige, Kelis, Tinchy Stryder, Katy Perry, Sophie Ellis Bextor & Kylie Minogue...
Was We Found Love NOT the song that made him an in-demand producer? You can't tell me that people were lining up to work with Calvin until WFL came out and absolutely murdered charts WW. The only notable artists in the mainstream that he had worked with pre-WFL were Kylie Minogue and Dizzee Rascal, and both of those collaborations happened in 2007/2008. If Rihanna isn't the reason why people are now working with Calvin, then WHY didn't he start working with tons of mainstream artists years ago?
I think in U.S. you can aver like that. However, He has already smashed in UK for a long while ago so..... and has collab with a buch of artist for a while. He even turned down a collab with Lady Gaga
i dont blame u for saying that tbh. A lotta ppl say that i love em cuz im a stan but i can see why ppl say that. Her albums had a lot of fillers but you can;t deny her singles were amazing.
The reason why her albums were not as good is cuz
3 words- Will.iam produced like half of the album and he made sure he was featured in like 5 songs from the album.
Messy Little raindrops: Rush released so it could be out in time for the X factor. Just a year after her debut. MLR was like 1/2 of 3 words left overs. Same producers as her first album as well.
She's been working for over a year on this album something she has never done for any other one. She has been working with different producers/writers she has never worked with including:
Calvin Harris, Alex da kid, Far East movement, The Beamer boyz and some unknown producers as well.
Rumored collabos are: Usher, Rihanna, Justin Beiber, Nicki Minaj, fergie and of course we can expect Will.iam. She just followed Iggy Azalea and J. Cole and just last week said the album will have some surprise collabos.
Yeah! I'm sincerely waiting for a great record. She needs to make a more cohesive body of work and slay our soul in a proper way! *fingers crossed*
I could've seen Cheryl working with Calvin before We Found Love to be honest.
Calvin and Cheryl have both been massive in the UK for ages. They both got #1s in 2009. It probably seems weird to those of you living in the US, but it wouldn't have seemed weird to people living in the UK if Cheryl and Calvin did a song together in, say, 2010.
