I reckon the 9x application will be getting completed over the weekend, lol. This is selling huge weekly physical numbers, the retailers will be desperate for a decent level of stock as now her voice is on its way to full health she could just randomly crop up on any US TV show almost unnanounced (I would imagine she won't be short of offers, lol), the sales will spike hugely the week after and off we go again. No retailer would want to be short of stock on this album...especially as it seems to sell amazingly without major price cutting.

It's based on shipments, not sales to end users. Basically the number that has gone out of the record company's door. As explained in my previous post, this album's shipments in the US could be anything up to 1 million more than actual registered sales to end users.

OK?! Why do you have to go in EVERY thread to announce this as if you're jealous that she's accomplishing more success than those artists in your avy? No one is expecting her to top 21, so I don't even know why that needs to be stated.

And people need to stop with the "I adore/love this artist but..."/"As much as I love her..." when they want to throw negativity around as if it makes them look anything less than a hater.

This sort of phrase is akin to 'With the greatest of respect', i.e. you just know that what comes next demonstrates nothing of the sort (shakes head).


PS Crazy statement anyway. Adele is the first to acknowledge she won't have another era as big as '21' but you think she'll be forgotten? Here's a sobering thought for your faves - the follow up could sell just a third of '21' in its first year and STILL be the best selling album worldwide.
