'Run The World' was Beyonce's lead from her critically-acclaimed album '4'. Although the song didn't perform as well as a typical Beyonce lead single, it didn't take away from the fierce diva's star-power, talent and general slaying the other girls effortlessly. 'Run the World' is an epic, beat-thumping, girl-power anthem that will have you in awe - oh and the video is amazing too!
The second single from her Greatest Hits, this song has shown that real music is still welcome on the charts. '****in' Perfect' reached #1 despite being the second single from a greatest hits. Now if that doesn't convince you that this song deserves a place on the greatest singles of this year, the just listen, I'm sure P!nk's amazing vocals will convince you.
This track is the 6th single from Katy Perry's dynamite album 'Teenage Dream', spawning 5 #1 singles and this song to be its 6th... the Katy kats hope anyway...with its ballad-esque piano and up-tempo like drums, this song gives you a melodic mid-tempo smash, making it hard for you to resist.
Although 'Push' wasn't a single, I am adding it to my list because A) It should have been a damn single and B) This is the single Avril wanted released first and foremost from Goodbye Lullaby. It was a smash waiting to happen but alas like 'Things I'll Never Say', 'Take Me Away', 'Runaway' and 'Innocence', this Avril-esque classic will never see the light of day on mainstream radio. Sad, but a true fact. I would like to dedicate this #11 chart position also to 'What The Hell' which charted at just #11 on Hot 100, stalling and stopping there for weeks on end failing to reach the top 10. Below is Avril's best performance of 'Push', sang in the UK on T4.
Although this song itself wasn't the best single choice, Little Mix represented the X Factor this year. They dragged me in. So I decided to give them a top 10 position because A) This single is representing their potential and talent B) They will be #1 this week in the UK in one of the best selling X Factor singles ever. Yes Little Mix have a bright future ahead of them. They will simply be slaying your faves in UK and Worldwide. After their flawless stunt on X Factor, their great interpretation of this song and their potential for many more future #1's, I give you Little Mix in at #10!
Anyway gurls, I am done again until Sunday/Tuesday. Working tomorrow and hitting the clubs on Saturday. Sunday I may too hungover and working all day Monday. So check the top 10 on Sunday/Tuesday. Hope y'all enjoying my list so far!
