What gets me about this song is, as you mentioned, the "moans" and "breathy vocals". It's just so incredibly sexy. It's the kind of song that will be played in bedrooms around the world years from now.
The moans and soft vocals are so Floetry. Have you heard their song from a while back titled, "Say Yes?" Talk about sex and moaning done in an oh so classy manner.

Set Fire To The Rain is the perfect way to start out the list. Itīs one of my favorite songs from 21.

Sure did, and it's just as sexy now as it was then. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that one-half of that duo went on to do sexy, sensual songs as a solo artist.

Marsha was the "songstress" of the duo, while Natalie was the "floacist." I'm sad to see Natalie not do as well as Marsha. She's a talented artist as well, but it was always obvious that Marsha had more star potential and mass appeal than Nat.
Album: The Night the Sun Came Up Writers: Devin Tailes, Niles Hollowell-Dhar, David Singer-Vine Producer(s): The Cataracs
Standout Lyrics
"On my waist, through my hair
Think about it when you touch me there
Close my eyes, here you are
All alone dancing in the dark"
Dev has been heating up the airwaves lately with her hit single, "In The Dark." This is yet another song that has some sexual innuendos in it, but it's one of those songs you singalong to mindlessly not realizing just what you are saying. The beat is mostly what makes this song a standout for me.
This year-end forum is making it extremely hard to get this song out of my head again. Not that I really wanted it to leave my head, but, at its peak, this song was all that I could think about. Between the beat and the infectious lyrics, this is another song that will make my own list.

If the radio didn't overplay it so damn much, it just may have been higher on my list. I have officially banned the song from being played on my iPhone for awhile. I couldn't turn on the radio without hearing this song for weeks.

But seriously, HOW FIERCE IS THIS WOMAN?
We have just one pop station where I live, and it's really leaning more toward being a Hot AC station with how dated their music selection is compared to the latest music on the top pop stations in the US. Then again, that's probably a good thing, as songs like ITD don't get tired nearly immediately due to overplay on the part of someone else other than myself.
Album: Only One Rida (Part 2) Writers: Tramar Dillard, Lukasz Gottwald, Henry Walter, Breyan Isaac, Arash Pournouri, Tim Bergling, Etta James, Leroy Kirkland, Pearl Woods Producer(s): Dr. Luke, Cirkut
Standout Lyrics
"The mountain top, walk on water
I got power, feel so royal
One second, I'ma strike oil
Diamond, platinum, no more...
... drill a land, never giving in
Giving up's not an option and gotta get it in
Witness I got a heart of 20 men
No fear go to sleep in the lion's den"
Flo Rida does NOTHING for me...like EVER, but the song is good only because of the epic chorus....that can be attributed to legendary Etta James' hit track, "Something's Got a Hold On Me." Avicii did a good job with modernizing the chorus from Etta's song and remastering it into his own version with "Levels." Flo typically knows he needs a KILLER HOOK on his song in order to see success and he enlisted help from Avicii to do just that, incorporating "Levels" in Flo's song "Good Feeling." Literally the only saving grace of the song is the chorus and is what carries the entire song.
Album: Born This Way Writers: Stefani Germanotta, Nadir Khayat Producer(s): Lady Gaga, RedOne
Standout Lyrics
"In the most Biblical sense,
I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense
I just speak in future tense
Judas, kiss me if offenced,
Or wear an ear condom next time"
Judas upon first listen was an instant turnoff and afterward, I just knew I would hate the direction of the new album. However, I gave it more plays as the months passed and I have somewhat warmed up to it. The chorus is the saving virtue of the whole thing and is what pulls you in to the song. The video also really does compliment the song; definitely one of her better videos this era.
