RedFoo is the reincarnation of Madonna. The line "tanning my cheeks" is equally as controversial & thought-provoking as "touched for the very first time".
I did this a while ago but I still can't get into her. I like some songs, love very few but her voice just really grates, I just don't understand how someone so average in almost every aspect of the word could be so huge...it's not for me. I wanted to understand all the fuss but no, I get that she revoloutionised the imagery in the popworld and brought forward experimental pop music into the mainstream but her actual music is just....no thanks.
And someone needs to have words with her about plastic surgery and dressing like a teenager. Just because you can does not mean you should.
She is not average in every aspect of the word and never will be.
"Not only does society suffer from racism and sexism but it also suffers from ageism. Once you reach a certain age you're not allowed to be adventurous, you're not allowed to be sexual. I mean, is there a rule? Are you supposed to just die?"

I don't care if she wants to be sexual, my main problem is that she no longer looks human and I don't think she has aged with any class. Will she still be rolling around in a leotard at 70? Is that classy? No, not in my opinion it isn't, it's not about ageism it is about maturity.
I find her average. Average appearance, average voice, average dancing but with an excellent team, excellent image revamps and some excellent musicians/producers/songwriters behind her. She took risks that is why she is remembered, there were and are plenty of artists more talented than her, she got the luck of the draw and was the ballsiest.

She no longer looks human in YOUR OPINION, and that opinion is rather exaggerated. Madonna is 53, not 70. She can do whatever the hell she wants and if you don't find that "mature" so be it. She's an adult, not an elderly woman.
If she wasnt more than average, she would not have stuck around as long as she did. That is all.
Honestly anyone who thinks Madonna is more talented than the Beatles....I worry for them.
I honestly believe that, they just seem very.......... basic to me. A band of men who are overly praised for something they didn't even create. None of them are superior vocalists, they don't dance, and their music is praised and overrated no matter how terrible. Madonna is a visionary among all things, which is extremely important to me. She reaches varieties of people which is also important to me, not just hipsters, or white people, or older people. People of all colors, sexes, sizes, shapes, and etc... I don't see that for the Beatles. And while one may argue they have fans who aren't white hipsters, I'm sure Madonna has way more in her stock.

I think this is why I like you, we differ in so many different ways but we are also the same in a lot of ways. This is EXACTLY and I mean word for word exact to how I feel about The Beatles.

To homosexuals and/or artistic people these things are very important. Especially the new things she brought with her creativity and risks to the mainstream.

The Beatles came around at a completely different time though, you can't compare them to Madonna or Beyoncé or anyone like that because their style is completely different. They didn't dance just as The Foo Fighters and the RHCP don't dance today, they were not a boyband as we see them today. They were phenomenal songwriters and wrote and played everything themselves.
I think you should try listening to Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band right through once or twice, you may get a new appreciation for them. They turned an album from a collection of songs to an experience, complete with intro and outro. They were revolutionary even though they weren't attractive or glamorous, it was part of the appeal, they were attainable. In my opinion the Beatles and ABBA were much more talented and have had a bigger and more lasting impact on music that any others who would be considered 'pop' from 25 or more years ago.

That is the only thing I see about her that explains why she is so big, she was innovative in the sense of imagery and one of the first artists to have such huge appeal to all sorts of different people BUT for me in an artist that isn't enough. To each their own. I was raised on classic rock and stuff like that so I will appreciate that more, it is nostalgic for me. I know many people here will have grown up listening to Madonna and that will make her special for them.
Everyone has different opinions and tastes and I'm glad for that because otherwise the music industry would be so bland.

Wait a minute now niece, Ms. Diana Ross solo and her Supremes have had long lasting impact on every female artist in existence. They started the whole use image to sell records craze and it has yet to die. Diana Ross was the worlds first pop star and Tina Turner was right at Woodstock with The Beatles and they loved her.
