It outsold it because of her performances at Good Morning America, VMAs, Le Grand Journal, American Idol (finale,) Oprah (finale,) Billboard Music Awards, The View, Jimmy Fallon, Today Show, BET Awards, Glastonbury, Piers Morgan, French X Factor...
Britney performed at Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel, and Billboard Music Awards, and that was it. 700K in the US and 1.4 million worldwide with three local half assed performances.

Sales: probably Britney?!
Respect/Awards: Beyoncé
Longetivity: both are but Bey's career is scandal-less, so plus point
At the end I chose the third option
|
If anything, it should be a plus for Britney for making such a comeback after everyone thought she was over.

Obvious answer is obvious... the princess of pop BRITNEY SPEARS!
Impact/Sales/Longevity = Britney
Respect/Awards = Bey
I'm sorry, 4 may outsold FF but if Bey cannot had a single top 10 hit ,her longevity is affected and let's remember her career kickstarted in 2003.
Bey should have a HIT SONG no matter how high her album sales are, then if she only sells albums she's in a different league now...

Beyonce because even with all of Britney's accomplishments, she still will never be able to garner anywhere near as much obvious respect within the inudstry as Beyonce has and will continue to. Britney is appreciated and her accomplishments don't go unnoticed but even to this day, outside of the pop crowd she was never really taken seriously. Britney has some cute bops and all of that but the level of respect that Beyonce has garnered from the general public, critics, industry greats, and legends alike is untouchable in my opinion. Another reason I say Beyonce is because she is undeniably more talented, that alone makes her more impressive.

4 outsold FF without a Top 10 hit without a 1 single that did iTunes record lol, 1 month leaked and still had bigger first week sales and outsold it in 2 1/2 months.

Yet her album outsold with bigger first week sales than Britney who had Top 10 single a #1 single. Beyonce had NONE of that and still surpass an Artist who had BOTH. Clearly Beyonce Feat. is better.

Reading is truly fundamental.
Britney got a #1 album, two #1 singles, four top 10 singles with fifth one on the way, and despite the fact that her sales are average, she's doing good considering it's 2011. She wins.

Impact: The only way people will think Britney wins this is if their looking in terms of pop. Overall I think Beyonce has way more impact. Bey has impacted the pop world, the r&b world, the elders, everyone. VMA pregnancy record anyone? This could also go back to what I was saying about respect. Beyonce has major impact outside of Z100. She is praised and admired by so many important people, even the president
Sales: Including Destiny's Child, which was pretty much Beyonce and her back-up dancers anyway? Beyonce wins this too.
Awards/Respect: Obviously Beyonce.
Longevity: I'm gonna have to go with Bey on this one too. For no other reason than the fact that that I can see her outlasting Britney for the gods. Beyonce' doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. She's been around this long and is still ******** in terms of performance, material, respect and all of that. Truthfully speaking, Britney has already peaked and in terms of where she is now, it seems like the end is getting closer and closer. Seriously, I can't see Britney out on stage performing 15 years from now, she seems like she's already on her last straw as we speak. Beyonce on the other hand, I can see doing shows and stuff until she's older. Like the legends before her.

Yet, her album skipped right on pass an album who had #1 single and a Top 10 single, Yet her album sits at #9 keep in mind without any HITS that you keep crying about while the album with the Pop Hits sits at #73 You do the math
