I once went to Gallaudet University (one of the best known Deaf universities in the U.S.), and most, if not all, of the cars coming out of it were BLASTING music (I distinctly remember hearing "Love the Way You Lie"). I could very much sense the beat just from the vibrations coming out of these cars, so I can see how music can be enjoyable even if you're deaf.
