The point is that BEPs and Gaga have the same label. Despite their past achievements which you pointed out above, and despite Interscope putting them on the most-watched program in TV HISTORY, the BEPs' new album has sold what? 500K?

It doesn't matter how many chart achievements you've had over how many decades. It doesn't matter how much label force you have behind you. It's hard to sell albums now. The BEPs are a prime example of that.

Edit: this is especially true for artists who make music of the BEP/Gaga dance type.

660k+ were from all digital sites, including Amazon and iTunes. No specific # on iTunes, but out of those 660k+ digital sales, 440k+ came from Amazon. So 220k were from other sites.

Gaga sales are GREAT. but the 99 cents thing is stupid and of course the one million is just not all her merit. Amazon helped her A LOT. More than 400k are because of that ridicolous price... and even stans admitted that they bought lots of copies because the 99 cents thing was an opportunity to help for the first week sales. It was cheaper than buying a single, so obviously if i could buy an album cheaper than one or two songs that i like i would do it and those sales count.
