I don't care about what they've done in the past. I'm talking about NOW. People need to snap out of the past when things were so dramatically different. And I won't even dignify a question about what will happen in the future with an answer.
The point is that BEPs and Gaga have the same label.
Despite their past achievements which you pointed out above, and despite Interscope putting them on the most-watched program in TV HISTORY, the BEPs' new album has sold what? 500K?
It doesn't matter how many chart achievements you've had over how many decades. It doesn't matter how much label force you have behind you. It's hard to sell albums now. The BEPs are a prime example of that.
Edit: this is especially true for artists who make music of the BEP/Gaga dance type.
