![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif) at people thinking someone at the palace would run to tell TMZ or The Sun if the Queen had died.
They'd tell the top British media sources: BBC, ITV, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times and maybe a few others to prepare for the announcement on BBC1 and to then immediately publish their articles. They're not about to include tabloids in a top secret meeting. Any media source which broke the blackout would be sued to hell and back. You really think if I sent Murdock an email now saying "Hi, just got sent home early from work, Queen died so they don't need me anymore" that he'd risk his reputation posting it?
I can't see any foreign news sources being let in on the secret. *Maybe* Australia, Canada etc public broadcasters. Again, highly trustworthy media outlets who would never leak it, definitely not random papers in the US or Europe.
I highly doubt this though. There would be no real reason to wait a day for the announcement.

These things can happen. Just google the celebrity threesome super injunction. The British press were legally banned from reporting this story about a celebrity couple, one of which had a threesome with another married couple in a paddling pool ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif) It's funnier when you find out who it was.

They would be sued to hell and back, and if it was in the UK, the monarchy would have some sort of powers to protect themselves from such things.
People really underestimate the power of the monarchy.
Even normal celebrities can get super injunctions to completely stop stories from being spread.
Entire newspapers (like News Of The World - the UK's #1 biggest newspaper at the time) have been completely terminated for doing less than that.

If she was to die, apparently they won't announce it till 8:00 am the next day.

There's some sort of law that if the queen died a few hours ago, the media wouldn't be legally allowed to report it until the next day to ensure that it got 24 hours of press coverage.
EDIT:
"The BBC, along with all major news channels, have pre-recorded packages on the Queen's life ready to be aired "at a moment's notice", says Business Insider. If she passes away during the night, her death would reportedly not be announced until 8am, after which her portrait will be displayed on the screen accompanied by the national anthem. The BBC is also expected to suspend all comedy shows until after the burial, the Daily Mail understands."

If Liz dies, apparently the BBC have to the ones to announce the death, something they prepare for every 2 months when a drill is done. They have montages, graphics and scheduled content ready to go the moment they break the news.

it's kind of true tho, a lot of people are fed up with the monarchy

The approval rating for the monarchy is (sadly) pretty high in the UK, think it's like 75%.
Queen Elizabeth is popular, I think Will & Kate are even moreso.
Sounds like fake news, the source seems unreliable.
I do believe there is probably a rule about reporting the Queen's death, sounds totally plausible.
Whether it would be followed in the internet age...idk.

Will and Kate were never THAT popular to begin with. Harry is far more popular, but it's mixed with all of them. The Queen is definitely liked by the majority.
