After the 4 era failed to score big commercial success, Beyoncé knew she had to switch it up if she was going to compete with Rihanna. Her image/persona had become uncool, aged and dated. That's when the "Queen B" thing was born (2013). With Self Titled came a darker, "edgier" and more crass Bey... The Hive can deny it as much as they want but the similarities are there. Her style haul and racier image were obvious attempts to stand her own. The Beyoncé of 2011 wasn't keeping up with more exciting stars like Rihanna (who just had Loud) and Gaga (at her peak) so she needed a new approach. I mean... the "Partition" video alone...

The 2011 Beyoncé was pregnant and becoming a mother. There is no denial that she has been quite sexual before the whole pregnancy. After that, as a 30+ year old woman, she just expresses her sexuality differently. I mean you can still ignore all the receipts on the last couple of pages and stand by your point if you want though. Do you

Not really, you haven't followed Bey's career if you think this is real

Beyoncé's image during 4. Sit down. Like Bey never been sexual in her career

Bby you truly have no idea what you're talking about do you

Beyoncé was not sexy in a provocative and controversial way before Self Titled. Being sensual and being crass (the Monica Lewinsky like alone) are hardly the same thing. Post all the barely there "receipts" you want it won't change anything. Only the Hive is in denial of her efforts to be "cool" and "in" since 2013, the two qualities that have propelled Rihanna's career since she started.
Am hollering I can't take atrl seriously anymore, you all like to seize every opportunity to drag Beyonce then turn around to accuse the hive of being defensive.

Speaking of trying to be cool and in, how is J-lo doing?

The same procedure over and over again. "The Hive is so defensive" / "The hive does this and that" / "The Hive is mean! "
Most obvious example of Beyoncé trying to keep up with Rihanna: hopping on Instagram (a network Rihanna pioneered) and making her username "BaddieBey" (inspired by the iconic "BadGalRiRi"). The Hive needs to stop undermining Rihanna's impact. It's not just Bey who's inspired by her.
