Well, I'm not from the United States and here, a Latin American country, we don't follow musicals or even heard about especifically this one or neither 90% of Broadway musicals. Good for you if you ever heard about it. Don't be so extra lol

I mean, if you follow the charts at all, and I'd assume you would if you're in this thread about charts, you'd know an album that's been in the T10 for like 15 weeks and one of the T5 sellers of the year in the US.

Hamilton is very specific to the US. Its not even on in any other country. Plus its music genre is very specific to American taste. Some may have just heard about its success in US entertainment news. Or if you follow the US album charts.

What its really lacking is those hit songs that make musicals globally famous. Maybe if theres a film one or two of the songs may become well known.

Despite it's MASSIVE success, Hamilton is still in its infancy. It only just opened outside of NYC in Chicago, opens in the UK next year, begins a US touring production next year, and Toronto after that.

Well we're talking about now. I don't see it resonating with a global audience quite like it has with an American one. The hip hop RnB sound doesnt travel that well overseas. Unless you're Eminem.
