Obviously it isn't. But people really don't buy music much anyway. So I guess your statement at the end is true. Now let's see how these artists will pander to people for more money. And labels continually lose money when they don't get with the times.
Maybe that's why the video game industry and their entertainment areas have been growing while the music industry declines.

It was sarcasm at you not wanting something that makes your life less complicated.
If you want a file you can stream it, or save it for offline use. When you get tired of it you just remove it from your library. But you can instantly play it again. Say you want to watch the video you can stream it on YouTube.
Music today is extremely accessible. There's no need for digital downloads because streaming services cover it all and give you the music offline so you've essentially downloaded it. If you have music that isn't available on a streaming site. You have Google Play or Apple Music that has your library in the cloud.
People who complain about streaming are similar to people who complained about the Internet and other new technology.
