Private Show has the doowop that Ariana and Meghan have been using.
Anyway, the album reads as a collection of musical trends from the past year. It could easily be Selena on some songs. Other songs are following the Bieber chill r&b "tropical house" vibe and doesn't one even have a clicking clock sound like What Do You Mean?
And I've listened to ever Britney album. I know Britney. You're just adding adjectives with the word Britney after. I love Breathe on Me, and if she was inspired by that, the result is not anywhere near as amazing as that song. Just because a song has a signature Britney moment doesn't mean the entire thing can't be chasing a trend.
It lacks identity as an album because like I said, Selena could have released this and you would not have felt it was an entirely different album. It doesn't stand alone as a piece of work, belonging to a sound that goes above the pop climate.
