I don't think she's creating her records with the purpose of having a clear cut single.

From what I can tell, both bodies of work are meant to be taken as a whole, not split up into singles.

definitely what i Think aswell. bot s/t and Lemonade are clearly conceptual, where few/no clear smash singles are obvious, but works great as parts of a full body of work.

People being "too busy buying the album" doesn't seem to be a problem for Taylor, Adele, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith all of whom have been scoring massive global hits while having more album sales (or at least overall success in Drake's case) than Beyonce.

Why can't we for once just have a decent discussion about Beyonce's inability to get hit singles without people going bringing up things like album sales and tour numbers?

Bey releases urban music most of the time, and urban music is played by urban stations, which means not big sales/airplay.

It's just a different market. Those songs are hits.
It's not like she releases Max Martin, Dr. Luke or whatever stuff.
