I don't think he said anything, his writing/screenplays give me those vibes. I don't know if you've seen his last one, Everybody Wants Some!! but it was almost a complete disaster.
I think that we should limit this to the 2010s, and then when it's done have individual rates for each previous decade.
I have a strong feeling that doing all-time will leave us with a heavy skew towards recent movies anyways, so I think that it's better to just go by decade. Plus that way, those of us familiar with films like Sunset Boulevard or Funny Girl don't have to suffer through seeing those films miss the top 100 while the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe makes the list.
I know there's more popular films than TV series but Friends did win the TV rate and it ended over 12 years ago.
There's no reason why you can't host your own separate rate for old movies no-one has heard of.
