But with Taylor and Gaga (excluding Artpop,) there's maybe 3 or 4 cliche/cringeworthy songs on each album at most, the other 70 - 80% of the album is fantastic. With Katy, it's about 90% cliche, 10 % good. As far as what I've observed. this is all subjective of course

Songs like Dear John, Enchanted, Last Kiss, Ours, Treacherous, All Too Well, Holy Ground, Clean...even others like Speak Now, Mine, You're Not Sorry, The Best Day, Our Song, etc are some of her best examples and you should listen. Mainly All Too Well, Dear John, Treacherous and Enchanted. She has such a way of creatively painting a moment through words, and perfectly describing a very specific emotion resulting from a very specific situation through an artistic way. One of my favorite lines of hers in Mine is "you made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter", just genius little things like that.

Gaga and Taylor are the only ones who write their own music by themselves. Katy works with big-name songwriters, most of whom have actually taken credit for writing her songs.

I'll go with Gaga. She's won Grammys, BMI awards, has been nominated for an Oscar, and was honored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame for her songwriting.

This exactly.

Katy only writes like 50% of it. The others are 90-100%. I would wait until LG5 to judge Gaga though. She's much smarter & educated than ever and may be a better writer now than she ever was.
