What's the point of having these sports event in countries that don't have the established insfracture in place?
Brazil could end up like Greece. The Olympics was a major part of Greece's collapse.

I was literally just in Greece and everyone there told me the Olympics actually postponed the economic collapse for 2-4 years. Also Greece built much needed infrastructure improvements like an actual functioning public transit system as well as a their football stadium which still brings in revenue.
Can't other countries step in and help pay for some of the stuff? So sad to see an even that's supposed to bring the world together be a big reason in Brazil's collapse
